About Cloister at The Boca Raton

Cloister at The Boca Raton is a tennis resort in Boca Raton, Florida. It is listed at 501 E Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL 33432, which places it among the local businesses of Boca Raton that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Boca Raton is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Boca Raton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Good luck finding a pool chair at the Boca Resort. We are staying here for July 4th, it seems like they overbook the pool areas with beach club members who appear to have priority over hotel gueats, so you are on your own. We were standing most of the day and all they could say was "we are sorry". Pretty unexpected based on daiky room price and the fact this is part of AMEx Fine Hotels and Resorts program

I emailed this property after the flood to check to make sure everything would be ok. They assured me there would be no issues. As soon as we arrived, the hotel had the fire alarm going off delaying our check in. At the front desk we were offered a 6th floor room with no elevator. We had to spend 30-45 minutes trying to get accommodate elsewhere and were told there were no other options at Cloister repeatedly. Finally a manager found a room for us at the far end of the property on the 2nd floor with an elevator. The elevator worked until the next day when it stopped working. We were put next to a loud truck loading dock where we heard trucks at all hours of the day and night disrupting sleep. Additionally much of the property was closed including the women's bathroom by the bar area and there were gross watermarks everywhere (See pictures below). We received a late checkout and half off the room rate but do not feel like it was enough and requested to be refunded for the stay. When I emailed their team they decided not to do anything further. This is a disappointing decision from the leadership team. We will not be back.
